Development Education Program - Exploring Diversity Through Music

"Poverty is not having the ability to participate"

 

In 2008 & 2009 the Department for International Development financially supported a 'Development Education through Music Program' facilitated by Beyond Skin. The program was coordinated in a partnership between the two charities 'Beyond Skin' & 'Children in Crossfire' using artists from the Motion Project.

A successful pilot scheme was facilitated at St. Columbanus, Bangor in 2007.

The DFID 2008/09 touring schools program was completed 3rd April 2009 - download publication pdf.

During the course of the project 'Beyond Skin' piloted the idea of producing audio for a radio program through the Homely Planet internet radio initiative. The 60min radio program will be broadcasted from 25th May 2009. www.homelyplanet.org
